We did it! February 24, on our six-month anniversary (yes, it does sound like something high school sweethearts would say), we did what connivers always do: we professed our affection, and our thanks, and then asked for something in return. Specifically, we asked our good readers to help us reach just one reader in Mongolia. Why? Because no one from that romantic, windswept nation had ever been to our site.

But now someone has. Yesterday, just four days after our pathetic appeal, Mongolia changed from white to green on the map generated by Google Analytics, which signifies we’ve had a visitor. We don’t know who, of course, and we don’t know what they looked at. But they came.

So, first, thanks to whoever made this happen (we’re pretty sure it isn’t a coincidence).

Second, we would enjoy learning more about how older folks enjoy themselves there. So, visitor from Mongolia,  if you have a moment, send us an email with information. Or links. Anything. We’re guessing that Mongolians are outdoor people, and they’re probably riding horses and swimming in frigid rivers and wrestling into their 80s. Let us know.

And finally, this internet thing is amazing.
