Typical: We’re a tad late for Valentine’s Day. We thought about trying to let it slip by, without saying anything, but then we came across this touching video from British Cycling. Sure, it’s corny. Love’s like that.
The organization asked readers to confess whether they spent more on their bikes or their sweethearts. The results were predictably appalling. (Case in point was this admission: “Oh please, on today of all days, it’s not about the money it’s about the love and attitude all year round: ‘treat ’em mean, keep ’em clean’, my bikes appreciate it. Oh, my wife, meh, got her a card.”)
We disapprove. Unless you have a particularly small, hard heart, you shouldn’t have to choose one passion over another. Plenty of love to go around.
